My property is in Riverside County or the Inland Empire. Can a lawyer in Ontario handle my dispute, and which courthouse hears it?
Based on an interview with Josué Cristóbal Guerrero, Founding Partner, recorded .
The short answer
Yes. We appear in courts across Southern California, and most litigation appearances now happen remotely on a video call. From our Ontario office we also appear in person in San Bernardino, Riverside, Orange, Los Angeles, Kern, Inyo and San Diego counties, among others. The case is filed in the county where the property sits.
Which courthouse
In Riverside County, most unlimited civil cases are filed at the Historic Courthouse in Riverside, including Corona, Moreno Valley and, since August 1, 2026, Murrieta. Temecula and Menifee cases go to the Menifee Justice Center, and desert communities to the Palm Springs Courthouse. In San Bernardino County, our Ontario office page covers the San Bernardino Justice Center.
Do you have to come to Ontario?
Generally not for hearings. We make appearances in those counties and conduct trials in most of them, and your location does not change how we litigate your case.
- Code of Civil Procedure section 392. An action concerning real property is generally tried in the county where the property is located.
